MEET RIVER ROAD

​

River Road Trio is a suburban Chicago country band that formed in 2011. RRT consists of members Terry Carter, Jonelle Carter and Kyle Ripsch. Their musical style relies heavily on three-part vocal harmonies, with all three members alternating as lead vocalists, piano and guitar. 

 

River Road began playing cover shows locally in Illinois which eventually evolved into incorporating original music after the release of their first album Unloaded in 2017. Following Unloaded, singles I Still Do, This Town, Freedom Of Love and many more would land RRT on the airways and major TV networks such as NBC, FOX news Nebraska, Good Day Tulsa and  WGN Chicago to name a few. Around this same time the band started to play music across the united states while keeping a full time schedule locally as well. In 2019 the band would find success overseas when their song “Anymore” became a line dance hit in countries like France, Germany and Austria. In 2021 Anymore would go on to top the line dance charts in Austria staying in the number one slot for over two weeks. In early 2022 the band's single Freedom Of Love received a midwest country music awards nomination for video of the year. River Road Trio continues to wow audiences across the United States along with the Chicago area and central Illinois.

While the trio certainly takes their music seriously, one thing is promised.. These three have a good time. Whether learning a request on the fly or pouring their heart into one of their originals, the three members wear their love of music on their sleeve for all to experience. It’s hard to imagine these three separately but here is a little about each member. 

 

Seneca, IL native, Singer-songwriter Jonelle Carter has been writing since the young age of four, accomplishing her first published piece at the age of eight.  Jonelle broke onto the airways in 2004 with her first album "Listen"  receiving over 200,000 downloads of her first single,"Not Your Doll" and becoming DSN's top downloaded artist of the year in 2005. Jonelle continues to write all of the material for RRT’s albums and singles while managing the bands social media, bookings, schedule and press.

 

Her husband, guitar player and vocalist, Terry Carter hails from Dwight, IL and adds a unique playing style and incredible vocals. Terry has toured with artists such as country superstar Sammy Kershaw and the Chicago area smash 90's band

"The All Night NewsBoys". A master guitar player, Terry most recently launched the Youtube channel and blog, Guitar Closet (www.guitarcloset.net)

 

 

Kyle Ripsch of Coal City, IL brings his incredible talent as a piano player/vocalist to the stage with a rich history including 10 years with country indie band "The Cattle Bandits" and multiple studio appearances throughout the Chicago area including many country and gospel album
